About the Author
I created Golden Hearts of America, LLC. from a deep rooted belief that the most valuable “gold” in this world isn’t something we dig from the ground. It’s what we build within our hearts, homes, and communities. That belief has been shaped over a lifetime of learning from the people around me. My family, my friends, and the teachers helped guide me. Their influence lives quietly within every story I write.
My path has always been closely tied to children. I spent three years as a private nanny caring for three wonderful children, took on numerous babysitting roles, and later worked for over five years within the public school system. Those experiences gave me a front-row seat to how children learn, grow, struggle, and thrive. They continue to shape the way I approach storytelling today.
My educational journey began in Art Education at Brenau University and the University of North Georgia, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and creative expression. As my vision for the future evolved, I made the decision to shift paths and completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from DeVry University. That combination of creativity and business has allowed me to not only create meaningful work, but to build something lasting around it.
Through vibrant, imaginative illustrations and intentional, layered storytelling, I create books rooted in real places across the United States. Many of these places I have visited myself, some understanding came from research and talking to friends I have made along the way. They blend nature, wildlife, and meaningful life lessons that everyone can carry with them as they move along their own paths in life. My goal is to create stories that do more than entertain. They help shape character, spark conversation, make us stop and think, and strengthen the connection between children and the adults guiding them.
Golden Hearts of America is more than a publishing company. To me it’s a mission. I am building a 51-book series, with each story representing a different state and centered around values like responsibility, kindness, perseverance, and community. Every book is created with care, consistency, and a long-term vision of impact.
I believe stories have the power to influence how we all see the world and who they become within it. Through my work, I hope to help raise a generation that understands that true wealth is found in how we care for others, how we show up, and how we leave things better than we found them. Equally important is how we treat ourselves; how we problem solve constructively and back away when it’s necessary. When I’m not writing or illustrating, I’m continuing to grow Golden Hearts of America through new ideas, resources, and experiences that support families, educators, and our communities.
My faith in God is the foundation beneath everything I have been creating. It shapes the way I see children, families, the way I understand purpose, and the way I approach every story with intention and humility. I believe God places gifts within us not for our own keeping, but to be used in service to others. Golden Hearts of America is one of those gifts for me a calling to help plant seeds of character, compassion, and courage to do the right thing in the next generations. My hope is that through these stories children will feel the quiet reassurance that they are loved, created with purpose, and capable of making the world around them a brighter place.
